NETIQUETTE & EMAIL FORWARDING
If you, like me, often receive from friends and family, forwarded emails with funny or wise advice, and you can see your name and email address amongst MANY others, then your email address is being exposed to 'pfishing' by spoofers (those who steal email addresses and then use them or sell them for spam or other nasty purposes). By following certain netiquette rules –and asking those who often send you 'forwarded emails' to follow them as well– you can reduce the risk of increased spam, viruses and other undesirable outcomes.
The instructions are simple and can be used with any mail program (Outlook, Netscape Mail, Thunderbird, etc.), attached to any browser (Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Mozilla, etc.). Open the PDF for instructions on how to take advantage of this small piece of good advice.
